Regulatory Terms & Commercial Licensing
Terms of Service
Last revised: November 2026 · Version 2.5 · Institutional Market Data Terms
Permitted Use and API Access
NaxosData provides real-time and historical Level 2 order book capture, trade tape streams, and cross-venue analytical infrastructure across prediction markets. Subject to your active subscription tier (Hobbyist, Quant Pro, or Institutional), NaxosData grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable commercial license to access our REST endpoints, real-time WebSocket streams, and Apache Arrow Parquet historical archives.
You agree to access our services solely for internal algorithmic trading, proprietary research, risk modeling, academic analysis, or tool integration. You agree not to:
- Redistribute raw, unaggregated Level 2 orderbook feeds to third-party commercial vendors without an explicit Enterprise Redistribution Rider
- Subvert or circumvent API rate limits, concurrency caps, or historical row export thresholds
- Use automated bot crawlers to scrape browser-facing dashboard interfaces without authenticated API credentials
- Reverse-engineer or exploit proprietary canonical
pair_idgraph mapping pipelines for unauthorized public cloning
No Financial, Legal, or Investment Advice
NaxosData is an independent market data technology provider. NaxosData is not a registered broker-dealer, investment adviser, futures commission merchant (FCM), commodity trading advisor (CTA), swap dealer, or exchange with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), or any international financial regulatory authority.
Nothing published on naxosdata.com, returned via REST/WebSocket API endpoints, calculated in quantitative browser solvers, or serialized in historical Parquet datasets constitutes financial, investment, legal, accounting, tax, or algorithmic trading advice.
Prediction markets, binary outcome options, and event derivatives involve substantial financial risk, including the potential for complete capital loss. Users are solely responsible for conducting independent diligence and evaluating the risks of dual-leg execution slippage, settlement authority divergence, and counterpart venue insolvency.
Market Data Integrity & Latency Modeling
While NaxosData captures millisecond tick data using dual microsecond timestamping (exchange_ts_ms from matching engines and ingest_ts_ms at edge gateways), network latency jitter, exchange WebSocket drops, Polygon/Base blockchain block reorganization delays, and venue API outages can cause gaps or sequence mismatches in upstream data feeds.
All standardized Level 2 snapshots, reciprocal ask conversions, and order book imbalance metrics are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular quantitative trading strategy.
Third-Party Trademarks & Venue Non-Affiliation
NaxosData provides independent data normalization across seven third-party prediction market platforms. All third-party exchange trademarks, service marks, and trade names referenced on this site belong exclusively to their respective owners:
- Polymarket is a trademark of Blockratize, Inc.
- Kalshi is a registered trademark of Kalshi Inc.
- ForecastEx is an exchange operated by Interactive Brokers LLC / ForecastEx LLC
- Limitless is a trademark of Limitless Labs
- PredictIt is a trademark of Victoria University of Wellington
- Drift BET is operated by Drift Protocol
- Smarkets is a trademark of Smarkets Limited
NaxosData is an entirely independent market data technology enterprise. NaxosData is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with any of the aforementioned trading platforms. All trademark references are used strictly under nominative fair use for factual market data identification.
Open-Source Code, SDKs & MCP Servers
NaxosData maintains open-source repositories under github.com/nexosdata, including the official Python SDK (naxosdata), TypeScript SDK (@naxosdata/sdk), Model Context Protocol servers (kalshi-mcp-server, @naxosdata/polymarket-mcp-server), and reference trading bot architectures.
All open-source software is licensed under the permissive MIT License. Subscribers and developers utilize these codebases at their own discretion and sole risk. NaxosData assumes no liability for trading losses, smart contract interaction bugs, or erroneous order submissions generated by automated bots or AI agent tools executing on live trading venues.
API Rate Limits & Automated Throttling
Subscribers must adhere to the requests-per-minute rate limits and monthly row export quotas established for their tier:
Exceeding request thresholds will trigger standard HTTP 429 Too Many Requests status responses. Repeated abusive traffic patterns or coordinated denial-of-service attempts will result in automated IP firewall blocking.
Subscription Lifecycle, Renewals & Cancellations
Paid subscriptions (Quant Pro and Institutional) are billed in advance on either a recurring monthly or annual billing cycle. API credentials and elevated rate limits are activated immediately upon receipt of confirmed payment.
You may cancel your subscription at any time directly through the dashboard terminal. Upon cancellation, your API access and elevated quotas remain fully operational until the conclusion of your current paid billing period, with no subsequent renewal charges.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, in no event shall NaxosData, its officers, employees, contributors, or infrastructure providers be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages—including but not limited to damages for loss of trading profits, exchange liquidations, unhedged dual-leg arbitrage divergence, slippage losses, data corruption, or business interruption—arising out of or in connection with the use of our services or market data.
NaxosData's cumulative aggregate liability for all claims arising out of these terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by the subscriber to NaxosData in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
Governing Law, Severability & Inquiries
These Terms of Service and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with standard commercial contract law. If any provision of these terms is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
